CSR and environmental initiatives
Social contribution activities
The L’Oréal Group, as a responsible corporate citizen, proactively carries out social contribution activities and environmental initiatives. One representative example is the annual Citizen Day activities carried out by each business office across the world from June to July.
On Citizen Day 2013 and 2014, roughly 130 Cosmelor employees visited six social welfare facilities in Gotemba City, where they interacted and cooperated with the residents of these facilities.
Cosmelor also works to provide continuous support; for example, multiple employees also visit facilities once per month to give hand massages.
In addition, Cosmelor carries out lively activities throughout the entire year in cooperation with Gotemba City and neighborhood councils. These include accepting elementary student social studies tours, activities to promote traffic safety at nearby train stations, exhibiting at science festivals for young people, and fish-stocking events to teach nursery school students about the importance of environmental conservation.
